Caywood's Youth Center, here after referred to as CYC. admits children of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities accorded or made available to children at the Center.


MISSION STATEMENT:

It is the mission of CYC to provide families and children quality child care by loving and caring Staff, At affordable/competitive weekly rates, In a clean & safe environment.  We believe we must positively engage children, being responsive to their individual needs during the most important development and learning years of their life.  We strive to meet their ever demanding age appropriate needs and help them grow emotionally, mentally and socially.


CAREERS:

HISTORY:

Ron & Pat Caywood had built & opened CYC in Waterloo, Il., January 1994.  They have also owned Day Care Centers in Red Bud, Illinois (1999 to 2004), and Quincy, Illinois (2004-2018).

Prior to opening CYC in 1994, Ron was a YMCA Senior Program Director for 6 years, and as an Executive Director for 16 years, serving YMCA's in Shreveport, Louisiana (twice), Mt. Vernon, Illinois, LaPorte, Indiana, Titusville, Florida, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Effingham, Illinois.  Pat, served as Fitness Director and Child Care Director at YMCA's for 10 years.  The Caywood's were Waterloo High School Graduates.  Ron attended Colleges in Oklahoma, Louisiana and Illinois, obtaining his degree from Baptist Christian College in Louisiana(1974).  The Caywood's have 4 Children, Karie, Shelley, Ryan & Jennifer, and 5 Grandchildren (Kennady, Leila, James, Hazel & Calliopie).

LICENSING

Caywood's Youth Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS), as a Child Care Center, serving children 6 weeks thru 12 years of age.  Inspections are conducted annually by DCFS, County Health Department and State Fire Marshall's Office.  Monthly Inspections by a certified Nurse for our Infant & Toddler Classes.  License are valid for three (3) Years with Renewal.
